Bizarrely, Alfa Romeo has waited until after the first test to launch their 2022 challenger so, whilst we already have a slight insight into how it drives, we finally know how the C42 will look. With their striking red and white angular livery, Alfa Romeo will be hoping for a fruitful season far greater than their disappointing 2021 campaign.
Despite the complete regulation overhaul, Alfa Romeo has opted for an all-new driver line-up with rookie Guanyu Zhou and ex-Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas joining their books. The Finn of Bottas brings a winning attitude to the Swiss team as well as a bank of knowledge from the reigning champions Mercedes. The team will be hoping for his vast experience to help Chinese driver Guanyu Zhou find his footing in F1 as he embarks on his rookie season.
With the second test only a few days away, we’re very excited to finally see Alfa’s official livery out on track for the first time.
