Alpine F1 Team have become the sixth team to announce a launch date for their 2021 car, the French team announcing today that they will host a virtual car launch on the 2nd March.

This means that now more than half of the grid have announced launch dates for their 2021 cars, Mclaren’s taking place last night on the 15th, and the likes of Alfa Romeo, Alpha Tauri, Williams and Mercedes scheduled from mid February to early March.

The release of the A521 also has another excitement, it will be the first time we see Fernando Alonso back as a full-time driver. After his accident in Switzerland, he will be even more keen for his return!

The news was announced today on Alpine’s social media, with many fans eagerly awaiting the new livery, after the team underwent a rebrand from the yellow of Renault last season. This won’t be the first time we’ve seen an F1 car with Alpine branding, with the “winter interim” livery released for a company showcase back in January, however the 2021 car is expected to look a little different, most likely taking on the dark blue colours of the Alpine brand.
