Arvid Lindblad is one of eleven young drivers who graduated from Formula 3 to Formula 2 in 2025, making the move from PREMA Racing to Campos Racing for his rookie campaign at the top level of Feeder Series motorsport.
Lindblad has become yet another name to enter the Formula 1 rumour mill, tied to a potential seat at Racing Bulls in the coming years. The Briton has been a member of the Red Bull Junior Team since 2021, joining the lineup of young protégés that Red Bull has coached up to the uppermost levels of single-seater motorsports.
At just 17 years of age, Lindblad boasts an impressive junior resumé, placing third overall in the Italian Formula 4 Championship in 2023, as well as winning the prestigious Macau Grand Prix in the same year. Lindblad finished fourth overall in the 2024 Formula 3 championship, earning the accolade of ‘Best Rookie’ after becoming the first driver to win all races in a single Formula 3 weekend. Doing so in taking to the top step in both the Sprint and Feature Race at Silverstone. Furthermore, Lindblad won the Formula Regional Oceania Championship at the beginning of 2025, earning him enough points to be eligible for a Super Licence from the FIA.
Fuel was only added to the fire when Red Bull reportedly applied for a Super Licence exemption from the FIA, which would allow Lindblad to step up into Formula 1 before he reaches the standard minimum age of 18 if needed.

Rumours aside, Lindblad still has a lot to learn from his rookie F2 season, this week taking on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit which is notorious for its challenging track layout, unforgiving to even the most experienced of drivers. F3 did not appear at Jeddah in 2024, posing a new challenge to the 2025 rookie cohort, including Lindblad.
Due to this, fortune may favour more experienced drivers this weekend, including Lindblad’s teammate and fellow Red Bull Junior, Pepe Martí, who returned to F2 for his sophomore season.
“For sure going into this weekend, but I think all weekends throughout the year, having an experienced driver like Pepe alongside me is very beneficial.” Said Lindblad, speaking about the advantages of being paired with a veteran driver.
“I’m still a rookie, I’m still learning a lot, so, having someone who’s done it all before that I can learn from and push me forward is really useful.”
Lindblad currently sits ninth in the Drivers’ Championship heading into round three of fourteen, whilst his team, Campos Racing, is second only to Hitech TGR in the Teams’ Championship. Lindblad will look to build on the positive momentum the Spanish team built up in 2024, where they narrowly missed out on the Drivers’ Championship with Isack Hadjar, and finished the Teams’ Championship as runners-up behind Invicta Racing.
Eleven rounds of racing still await the young superstar, who will look to improve on his current position as he gains confidence in the Dallara F2 chassis, introduced in 2024. Whilst new to the circuit and the championship, Lindblad’s raw talent and pace will play to his advantage throughout the weekend and the rest of the season, placing him well to become a championship protagonist as the season continues.
