“It is fantastic to see the positive energy that this program has generated, and we are aware of our responsibilities, together with the FIA, to continue ensuring its growth and increasing opportunities for women around the world to connect with motorsport,” said the Ferrari racing director Laurent Mekies.

Recently, Ferrari also announced the extension of their partnership with the Girls On Track: Rising Stars program with the FIA (International Automobile Federation), until 2023, which means we may soon see more female drivers in formula racing.

We at DIVEBOMB, are looking forward to seeing how Maya Weug performs in her new championship and we wish her all the best.
