Gresini is set to make a return housing the Ducatis following a three year hiatus. The Gresini racing team have signed a two year deal from 2022 with Fabio Di Giannantonio and Enea Bastianini.

Gresini was Aprilia’s official factory entry in 2015 and has been with the Italian brand since then. However late last year they announced that they will be returning as an independent team from 2022.

“It’s a very emotional moment for each of us,” Gresini boss Nadia Padovani said.

She spoke about how for the past few months they have been working on Gresini racing and how proud she was to make this announcement officially.

She thanked Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta for making sure they never felt alone during these months, to Ducati for trusting their projects, to Flex-Box who joined them in this new challenge as title sponsor and to Fabio and Enea.

Gresini will continue in MotoGP despite the death of their leader, Fausto Gresini. His wife Nadia Padovani will take charge and the squad will be operational in MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and MotoE this season.
