On the afternoon of 20 September, Rick Ware Racing and Spire Motorsports jointly announced a seat-swap between Justin Haley and Corey Lajoie. Haley will take over the No. 7 Chevrolet whilst Lajoie will take the No. 51 Ford effective immediately.
Haley famously started his Cup career with Spire, taking his sole victory in the rain-shortened 2019 Coke Zero Sugar 400.
After his Spire stint, he raced with Kaulig full-time in Xfinity from 2019 to 2021. He then was promoted to the Cup Series full-time with them for 2022 and 2023. In 2024, he joined Rick Ware Racing, where he so far has two top tens.
Lajoie joined Spire in 2021 as the team’s first full-time driver. He ends his time with Spire with 11 top tens, three of which coming this year.
These two are anticipated to keep these seats into 2025.
