Things got even more heated at round 20 of 22 as Lewis Hamilton showed everyone domination at the Losail circuit in Qatar and narrowed down the fight for the title to just eight points.

Lewis started on pole and kept his lead throughout, meanwhile Max made his way through the field recovering from his grid penalty very well to clinch second place.

Verstappen not only jumped to P4 during the start but also set the fastest lap at an impressive 1:23.196. This for sure has been good damage control on his end to keep his lead in the title.

A good performance from Sergio Perez who started eleventh and finished fourth with some commendable overtakes. It was a day to forget for Mercedes’ Valterri Bottas, who had taken a grid penalty and suffered with tyre issues, having to ultimately retire.

The track definitely pushed tyres to the limit as both the Williams drivers had punctures too. Meanwhile down at the Alpine garage, celebrations must be in full swing as Fernando Alonso took third place after facing much pressure from Red Bull’s Sergio Perez.

Ferrari duo Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc finished in P7 and P8 respectively, extending their lead over McLaren. Lando Norris finished P9 owing to a late stop while Daniel Ricciardo finished down in twelfth for the papayas. Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll took P6 while Sebastian Vettel took the last of the points, finishing P10.

It’s not over till it’s over, couldn’t have been more true, with two races to go and the fight for the title between Verstappen and Hamilton has shaped to be a long drawn one.
