Igora Drive will become the new host of the Russian Grand Prix after it was confirmed it will replace Sochi in 2023.

Igora Drive was given it’s Grade 1 status by the FIA at the end of last year, which means it will now become the second ever host of the Russian Grand Prix.

The circuit is approximately 54km from St Petersburg and has a range of 10 layouts over 100 hectares.

“I am pleased to confirm following joint intensive work with our Russian partners and detailed assessment of Igora Drive – Formula 1 will be racing at that amazing circuit from 2023,” said by F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.

“I am impressed by St Petersburg and believe that the Russian Grand Prix at Igora Drive will be an incredible event.”
