It has been confirmed that Jack Doohan will make his F1 debut for Alpine at Abu Dhabi ahead of his rookie season in 2025. He is replacing Esteban Ocon, who is moving to Haas for the next season.

Doohan has been part of the Alpine family since 2022, and a reserve driver for them since 2023. Alpine announced in August this year that he would be driving for them in 2025. Driving for them next weekend will give him some experience in the car before the next season.

Whilst this allows Doohan to gain experience, it also allows Ocon to do post-season testing with Haas ahead of next season. He will be partnering Oliver Bearman who has had a few races this season already.

Ocon has scored 23 points this season.

Alpine have thanked Ocon for his service, saying: "The team would like to thank Esteban for his time at the team and he will remain part of the team’s history achieving the first win for Alpine in Formula 1,"
