Katherine Legge has been confirmed to pilot the No. 51 Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing car at World Wide Technology Raceway, to add to her two previous rounds in 2024 at the Indianapolis 500 and Iowa.

The Guildford-born driver has raced in the No. 51 for the other three oval events of the year, retiring on Lap 22 of the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 with a mechanical failure, after making it through last-chance qualifying, before finishing 17th and 24th in the Iowa 250 doubleheader, being incorrectly penalised in Race 1, which cost the Brit a top ten finish.

Although not officially confirmed, Legge is expected to also compete at the doubleheader at the Milwaukee Mile and the season finale at Nashville Superspeedway. Toby Sowery has been confirmed to return to the car in the remaining road course race at Portland International Raceway, one week after Gateway, and one week before the doubleheader at Milwaukee.

Colin Braun initially took the helm of the car in the opening round on the Streets of St. Petersburg and the non-championship $1 Million Challenge. Nolan Siegel made an appearance in the car on the Streets of Long Beach, and was expected to race on the Streets of Toronto before he signed with Arrow McLaren.

Luca Ghiotto took the car at the rounds at Barber Motorsports Park and the Indianapolis Road Course before returning at Road America and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, with Legge stepping in for the Indianapolis 500 and Iowa. Sowery made his IndyCar debut at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, before being confirmed for Toronto and Portland.

It is set to be an all-British line-up at Dale Coyne Racing for the remainder of 2024, with Jack Harvey in the No.18 entry for the rest of the season, as Sowery and Legge are expected to share the No. 51 for the remaining five races to close out the 2024 season. Dale Coyne Racing remain unconfirmed in both of their cars for 2025.

It means a fourth oval race in the No. 51 for Katherine Legge in 2024, as she races at World Wide Technology Raceway for the first time.
