The Intercontinental GT Challenge returns to Mount Panorama for the Bathurst 12 Hours, which is also the first of five rounds in the IGTC 2025 season. In this article, you can find LIVE updates for the Bathurst 12 Hours, which begins at 18:45pm UK on Saturday evening.

The No.77 Mercedes Craft-Bamboo racing took pole position with Lucas Auer at the wheel, followed by Ricardo Feller who put the No.183 Jamec Racing Audi on the front row of the grid. The No.888 Mercedes AMG Team GMR start from third, Maro Engel putting the triple eight Mercedes into podium contention once again.
MotoGP Legend and 9-Time World Champion, Valentino Rossi, will also be participating in this event, in the No.46 WRT BMW which starts from 12th place. Rossi will also be competing in the World Endurance Championship this year, so Bathurst marks the first race in the Italian's motorsport calendar for 2025.

06:40 - The No.77 Mercedes finally comes into the pit lane to serve their final stop with just 6 minutes remaining, promoting the No.46 BMW into 2nd place and the No.75 Mercedes into 3rd.
06:35 - 10 MINUTES REMAINING
06:35 - Race leader is the No.32 BMW of Kelvin van der Linde, followed by the No.46 BMW of Raffaele Marciello, as the No.77 Mercedes in between them does need to make another pit stop. The No.75 Mercedes runs just behind the No.46 BMW, only one second behind in the battle for net 2nd place.
06:29 - The No.911 Porsche now comes into the pit lane for their final stop, they will fall down from 5th to 6th place with just 15 minutes remaining.
06:24 - The No.46 BMW overtakes the No.75 Mercedes at Turn 20 by going onto the dirt, the No.46 now has a net 2nd position.
06:23 - The No.26 Ferrari now comes in for their final pit stop, ceasing the lead of the race and plummeting down the order.
06:20 - The No.32 BMW should be fuelled enough to the end, but there is no guarantee of that, therefore meaning that Team WRT have put emphasis on fuel saving for the No.32. The pack behind though, are closing in by almost one second per lap.
06:12 - The No.32 BMW does in fact lead this race, despite the No.26 Ferrari currently being in the lead, the Ferrari will need to pit. Meanwhile, the No.46 BMW and No.75 Mercedes are still locked into battle over net 2nd and 3rd.
06:09 - The No.26 Ferrari manages to overtake the No.32 BMW at Turn 21, the BMW attempting to battle the Ferrari once again but running onto the dirty area of the track. Kelvin Van Der Linde has lost some time to the chasing cars behind, with some of those cars genuinely in contention.
06:06 - The No.32 BMW is now defending from the No.26 Ferrari for the lead of the race, however the Ferrari does need to make another pit stop. The team WRT crew have told the No.32 BMW to let the car through, however K Van Der Linde is defending heavily from the Ferrari behind.
06:04 - The gap between the No.26 Ferrari and the No.32 BMW is just half a second as the Ferrari will be looking to make a move before they come in once again. Meanwhile, the No.46 BMW and the No.75 Mercedes continue to battle for a net 2nd place.
05:58 - The current battle is between the No.46 BMW, No.75 Mercedes and the No.77 Mercedes, who are fighting for 3rd place on the road, and the latter two cars in the battle will be fighting over 2nd place, as the No.77 Mercedes needs to make another pit stop.
05:56 - The No.32 BMW should be able to make it to the end of the race on fuel, meanwhile the No.46 BMW closes to within one second of the No.75 Mercedes, the pair of them racing for 2nd and 3rd place.
05:49 - The No.46 BMW of Marciello is hunting down the No.75 Mercedes of Gounon for what might just be the overall net race lead. Every car ahead needs to save fuel, and any of the Top 6 can still win this race.

05:42 - The No.26 Ferrari is hounding the No.32 BMW for third place, as the No.75 Mercedes and the No.46 BMW come in for their definite final pit stop.
05:40 - The No.26 Ferrari with fuel to burn, is driving right after the No.32 BMW, which will have to fuel save. The No.75 Mercedes currently leads the way, with the No.46 BMW of Marciello just 5 seconds down, the pair of them will only need to pit at the top of this hour, whereas the others may well need to do another stop. Meaning the No.75 Mercedes and No.46 BMW could very well be our race leaders overall. The gap between those two, now coming down as well.
05:38 - The No.32 BMW comes into the pits right on the very cusp of the pit window, for what they hope to be their final pit stop. Kelvin Van Der Linde jumps into the car for the final hour of this race.
05:34 - The No.26 Ferrari begins attacking the No.77 Mercedes of Lucas Auer, the pair of them will almost certainly need to stop again and therefore are pushing flat-out.
05:31 - The No.77 of Lucas Auer has pitted as well, therefore meaning that the leaders will likely need to pit once again, whereas the No.46 BMW of Marciello should be able to go until the end, after the next pit stop. The current track positions are likely to be the overall track positions, if there are no further interruptions.
05:22 - The No.26 Ferrari and No.911 Porsche both come into the pits with 1 hour and 23 minutes remaining, they will need to make another pit stop if it remains green flag running until the end.
05:19 - The No.32 BMW leads ahead of the No.77 Mercedes, No.26 Ferrari, No.75 Mercedes, No.911 Porsche and No.46 BMW all on the lead lap. The No.46 BMW is the best car on fuel currently but is the furthest away from the leader.

04:32 - The No.32 BMW reclaims the lead, just a couple of seconds ahead of the No.77 Mercedes being driven by Lucas Auer. Meanwhile, the No.75 Mercedes defends from the No.26 Ferrari for third place, with the No.911 Porsche just a second behind.
04:31 - No.46 BMW comes into the pits, as Valentino Rossi clips the wall coming into the pit lane, potentially overspeeding coming into the pits. The No.46 BMW rejoins the race in 6th place.
04:24 - The No.32 BMW comes into the pits for refuelling as Kelvin Van Der Linde gets into the car.
04:22 - The No.46 BMW has made contact with a GT4 car and has cost Valentino Rossi a couple of seconds. Lap times are vital currently as we approach the final two pit stops of this race.
04:16 - No.77 Mercedes now comes into the pits, as Gotz gets out of the car.
04:14 - No.26 Ferrari and the No.911 Porsche come into the pits, they have not made much of an attempt to save fuel and therefore their pit stops will be slightly longer than those around them.
04:12 - The No.32 BMW still leads by just over a second to the No.77 Mercedes of Gotz.
04:03 - The No.77 Mercedes has closed the lead gap down to the No.32 BMW, the gap now stands at just 2 seconds, the pair ahead of the No.26 Ferrari by 15 seconds.

03:50 - The No.91 Porsche has been costing the No.26 Ferrari valuable lap time, assisting the No.911 Porsche which now extends the lead over the Ferrari by just over one second.
03:41 - The No.26 Ferrari and the No.911 Porsche go SIDE-BY-SIDE into Turn 2, costing each other lap time, as the Porsche stays in front!
03:36 - The No.26 Ferrari and the No.911 Porsche are still bumper-to-bumper for third place, the Ferrari throwing different shapes behind the Porsche at the end of every single back straight.
03:27 - Contact between the No.26 Ferrari and the No.911 Porsche earlier on as the pair continue battling. The Ferrari has the better top end speed, but the Porsche has just enough to stay ahead by the time they get to Turn 21 and Turn 22.
03:22 - The No.26 Ferrari is still battling the No.911 Porsche for third place, the pair slowing one another up as the No.75 Mercedes and No.46 BMW begin to close their gaps. Fuel saving is currently the name of the game, as the BMW's seem to be the best at fuel saving.
03:20 - The No.32 BMW still maintains their lead by around 5 seconds, they have extended their lead since the last pit stop phase, as the pack are around 5 seconds from the lead, and the No.46 BMW and No.75 Mercedes are another 5 seconds down from the leaders.
03:18 - Valentino Rossi has got back into the No.46 BMW, as the No.75 Mercedes and No.46 BMW, who both stayed out longer after fuel saving - have CLOSED the gap by almost 10 seconds to the cars in front. The Top 6 are all in contention for the victory.
03:16 - The No.26 Ferrari is putting the No.911 Porsche under pressure, as the No.75 Mercedes comes into the pits, along with the No.46 BMW of Charles Weerts.
03:10 - The No.32 BMW now comes down the pit lane for their stop, as the No.75 Mercedes hits the front of the field, followed by the No.46 BMW around 7 seconds behind. Farfus climbs out of the No.32 BMW, and Sheldon van der Linde jumps into the car.
03:07 - All of the leaders come into the pit lane for their stops, bumper-to-bumper as they come down the pit lane. The No.77 Mercedes comes out ahead of the No.26 Ferrari and the No.911 Porsche, the trio separated by a few seconds now.

02:42 - The No.77 Mercedes makes a minor mistake at Turn 1, running wide and losing valuable time to the No.32 BMW at the front of the field. The leaders are separated still by just a few seconds, with the No.75 Mercedes and No.46 BMW about 10 seconds adrift.
02:33 - The No.32 BMW now leads by just over one second after hitting heavy traffic. The No.26 Ferrari of Mostert leads the No.911 Porsche of Guven by half a second, the Top 3 separated by just over 2 seconds.
02:27 - The No.46 BMW is up to 6th place and is just a few seconds from the next car in front. Meanwhile, the lapped traffic has got in the way of the leading No.32 BMW. Meanwhile, the Mercedes, Ferrari and Porsche behind are closing the gap, the leading 6 cars now get ever closer once again.

02:17 - The No.46 BMW now overtakes the No.14 Aston Martin for 6th place, just a couple of seconds down on the leading pack.
02:12 - No.46 BMW and the No.75 Mercedes gain a place over the No.91 Porsche of Shahin, the Porsche going down to 9th place as the No.27 Mercedes also comes through.

02:08 - The No.46 BMW has managed to catch the back of the pack before the restart, as we are about to get back underway.
02:02 - Rossi overtook a GT4 car under yellow flags, which is why the No.46 BMW was given a pit lane penalty just a moment ago.
01:59 - The leaders come back into the pit lane, as the No.46 BMW comes in once again for another pit stop, topping up their duel. They will rejoin the race in 8th place.
01:57 - A quote from Valentino Rossi, who finished what will likely be his final stint, just 15 or so minutes ago:
Valentino Rossi: "Our car you have to drive it smooth, with fuel saving, but also on the braking, don't need to push a lot. This track to understand you need a little bit kilometers. You always need to the fuel saving, the traffic, I am happy I could remain constant. You push but you always keep quite and that is where you understand the real level of the final hours."
01:55 - The No.46 BMW came into the pits before the SC was deployed, meaning that they have lost track position, however will be able to catch back up to the leading pack once again.

01:32- SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED
01:31 - The No.183 Audi of Feller is beached in the gravel at Turn 21, the final chicane on the circuit. A huge lockup or suspension damage has put the Audi well out wide and into the gravel.
01:30 - Rossi in the No.46 BMW has not lost any time to the leader, however is coming under heavy pressure from the Mercedes of Ojeda behind in the No.77. Rossi is also fuel saving which is contributing to the defensive nature of driving currently.
01:28 - A familiar story, the Mercedes cars are throwing all kinds of different shapes, running different racing lines in the attempt to pass Valentino Rossi for second place, the BMW just about able to hold on down the straights.
01:24 - The BMW of Rossi has a phenomenal launch off the slow corners, making it much easier to defend their position, meanwhile the Mercedes gets closer through the corners, making this a thoroughly strategic battle.
01:22 - The gap from Rossi to Farfus at the front is coming down slightly, now under four seconds as the chasing pack grow ever closer, with more traffic in the way for the leading BMW.
01:19 - Rossi is defending 2nd place heavily as they approach more traffic, needing to go offline and sacrificing exit speed on occasion. Rossi keeps 2nd place so far, now dropping to almost 5 seconds behind the leading sister No.32 BMW of Farfus.
01:17 - The No.36 Ferrari of Schumacher has been sent into a spin after a collision with GT4 traffic at the final chicane, forced to cut across the grass leading up to the final corner.
01:12 - Rossi catches traffic in the No.46 BMW, which now extends the lead for the No.32 BMW of Augusto Farfus by a few seconds. Ojeda in the No.77 Mercedes almost makes a pass on Rossi in front.
01:09 - The gaps between each car at the front has been extended, with about 1 second from car to car. BMW still run 1-2, with a group of Mercedes' just behind.
01:02 - Heavy traffic has meant that the leading pack inside the Top 9 are now within touching distance of one another, the leading No.32 BMW catching the traffic at the top of the mountain, a very awkward position to catch lapped cars.
00:59 - Rossi in the No.46 BMW is just half a second behind the sister No.32 BMW as the pair approach a heavy amount of GT traffic. Now the Mercedes cars all inside the Top 5 all line up, one after another and separated by just a couple of seconds.
00:57 - The No.183 Audi and the No.91 Porsche have been battling since the restart, the Audi finally able to get through at Turn 20 on the back straight.
00:55 - No.9 Audi has been given a drive-through penalty for breaching the pit stop procedure.

00:52 - The No.183 Audi overtook the No.44 Audi in the pit lane earlier on after the No.44 of Sergio Pires was driving abnormally slow. There is some speculation that the No.183 may receive a penalty.
00:50 - The No.9 Audi has a right rear puncture despite driving under Safety Car conditions.

00:06 - Rossi has lost about 4 seconds to the leading No.32 BMW of Sheldon Van Der Linde, as it appears that a battle between the BMW's and Mercedes is afoot as we approach the halfway stage of this race.
00:01 - The No.32 WRT BMW of Sheldon Van Der Linde has taken the lead of the race from the No.46 WRT BMW of Valentino Rossi after doing the overcut strategy. Lucas Auer in the No.77 Mercedes is now on the back of the No.46.
23:57 - The No.46 WRT BMW of Marciello has come into the pits, as Rossi now gets back into the car. The team currently do lead the race.
23:54 - Mikael Grenier in the No.888 Mercedes has made a pass on the No.26 Ferrari of Brown at Turn 21, the final chicane.
23:49 - If you are just joining us, or just about to head off to sleep - The No.46 WRT BMW of Raffaele Marciello leads with 7 Hours remaining, with Valentino Rossi about to get into the car. The team started from 12th position and have benefited from some Safety Car pit stops
23:45 - No.27 Mercedes also comes into the pits and changes drivers. Gunn is now in the car and out in 13th place.

23:42 - Campbell's Audi remained stationary, only reaching the minimal pitlane time by a few seconds. The Porsche No.911 does a driver change and comes out in 11th.
23:39 - The No.93 goes long in its pit box.
23:35 - 10s Penalty for No.47 for a breach of pit-stop procedure - the crew member was still in the pit box.
23:30 - Drivers are expected to come in for the next pit-stops in 7 or 8 laps time, Rossi will swap with Marchiello to lead the Bathurst 12 hours if the order still stands!
23:27 - The No.75 Mercedes has quite a bit of loose tap on its bonnet, which won't affect much other than a big distraction for Gounon.
23:21 - 10s Penalty for No.888 for a breach of pit-stop procedure, it looked like the earth strap was still in the pit box when the Mercedes departed.
23:19 - Just 1.5s split the podium positions between No.46, No.32 & No.77. It will be interesting to see if any of them try to save a bit of fuel.
23:07 - 15s Penalty for No.9 for infringement under the wave-by.
23:06 - 15s Penalty for No.36 for infringement under the wave-by.
22:59 - Behind the battle, the Porsche of Schuring (No.91) bang wheels with the No.27 of James, the Mercedes driver reports that he has no visibility out of his mirrors. Assume it's broken due to the collision.
22:57 - No.26 Ferrari Serra also gets passed Talbot's Audi. Immediately Gounon does the switch-a-roo on the Audi and Talbot loses another to Day (No.14). He's down to 9th!
22:52 - Gounon (No.75) also passes Picariello down into T2. Grenier (No.888) goes into 4th passing the Audi of Talbot.
22:49 - Marciello in the No.46 jumps early and we're now GREEN! Many side-by-side position changes, Picariello is down 2 spots in the No.911 going up the mountain.
22:48 - Still under Safety Car, they're doing the wave-by now for the backmarkers to get down the road, the Safety Car's lights have gone out...

22:30 - Lots of debris on track! The Safety Car comes out, The 4th place Mercedes of No.77 Ojeda hits the rear of the No.93 Ferrari as it was getting lapped. Looks like the No.46 gains again as a result of staying out the extra 2 laps and comes in for a full pit stop. Marciello completes the driver change.

22:09 - 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, all split within 1.2s, Feeney (No.183) managed to lunge it on the inside of both Serra (No.26) and Martin (No.888) in consecutive laps at T18. Feeney now chases the BMW No.32 Linde who is fuel saving 7s up the road in P3.

21:24 - Drama behind the Safety Car, the McLaren GT4 tries to complete the wave-by before it had been called by race control, almost spinning a Mercedes around
21:16 - The timing of this Safety Car couldn't have been much better for the No.911, who with all the pit stops having played out, leads the race behind the Safety Car on the same pit strategy as everyone else
21:13 - No further investigation for that incident between the two Mercedes
21:10 - The No.911 takes this Safety Car as an opportunity for a pit stop, now putting themselves back on sequence with the leaders, and the net lead of the race
21:09 - Good news for the driver, he got out of the car unaided and is now being transported to the medical centre
21:08 - The No.4 Grove Mercedes found itself in the wall, after contact with the No.75 of Kenny Habul. The No.4 went airborne, luckily staying within the confines of the race track, driver Steven Grove visibly and audibly shaken from the crash

21:01 - Close call with Kenny Habul and the No.36 Ferrari at the top of mountain straight, Habul in the No.75 Mercedes on the grass as he narrowly avoids contact at the apex

20:54 - Guven in the No.911 has pulled a three second gap out front now, Rossi still stuck behind the No.14 Aston Martin

20:22 - Left front puncture seems to be the cause of the issue, as Liam Talbot pulls into the pits. No.75 has been given a 15 second penalty for the earlier incident with the no.27
20:20 - The No.183 has now slowed and is limping back to the pits after the contact
20:19 - More contact between the No.183 Audi and No.75 Mercedes as the Audi barges through, trying a move up the inside. Kenny Habul in the Mercedes narrowly avoiding the wall
20:17 - Ian James has had a spin in the No.27 Mercedes after being turned around by Kenny Habul in the No.75. No.222 Mercedes has also stopped just before the pit entry with what seems to be left rear suspension issues, the driver has stepped out of the car, despite being so close to pit lane
20:15 - The top three have got an 18 second gap at the front now, with all the action happening behind the traffic. The No.888 in third now has a drive through penalty for a pit lane infringment, BMW's only challenger right now will drop out of the battle now
20:13 - Ryan Sorensen in that McLaren has got going again, as the leaders try to lap the No.36 Ferrari
20:11 - The leaders getting away cleanly from the restart, less so for the mid-pack with GT4 traffic ahead, the No.25 McLaren falling victim, going backwards into the wall after contact with an Audi

19:17 - Big battle down the field, with all the cars from 11th down to 17th all battling to fight their way up the field
