After an incredible year in 2023, Max Verstappen has become the 2023 FIA Formula One World Drivers Champion at Qatar, following the Sprint Race of the 18th round of the F1 Championship.
Max Verstappen has become a 3-Time World Champion, now equalling legends such as Ayrton Senna, Jack Brabham, Niki Lauda, Jackie Stewart and Nelson Piquet.
A truly dominant season for Max Verstappen, so far taking 13 wins out of 16 races. For reference, Michael Schumacher took 13 wins out of 17 races back in his dominant 2004 season, a season which many believe to be Schumacher's best ever season.
With Sergio Perez's major crash with Esteban Ocon and Nico Hulkenberg, this beached the RB19 into the gravel, and ensured that Max Verstappen is the 2023 F1 World Champion. A Sprint race which saw 3 Safety Cars in the first 15 laps.
Verstappen sealed the Championship in a thrilling Sprint Race, which saw many incidents as the Soft Compound runners started to struggle, and the Medium compound runners came through the field late in the Sprint, to take the podium positions, with Rookie Oscar Piastri taking an incredible victory in front of Verstappen, followed by Lando Norris.
Max Verstappen Said: "I can't thank you all enough, thank you very much and thank you to everyone at the factory"
Of course, Verstappen wouldn't have been able to achieve this incredible success without the Red Bull Racing Team, especially with the incredible engineer and designer, Adrian Newey.
Verstappen is on course to have the most dominant F1 season in history, with many more races still to come, Verstappen can still break several records.

A truly dominant season, will be interesting to see what happens to Max's performance over the last bit of the season. My guess is he will want to hit his competitors with more domination but with it wrapped up it'll be interesting to see how he battles if anyone can get remotely close... maybe we will see that today, especially with the variable of the tyre situation. There are definitely opportunities for everyone today.
