Oscar Piastri takes his maiden Formula 2 victory in the second race of the season with a marvelous last lap battle between Christan Lungaard and Guanyu Zhou.
Piastri was running in third place during that last few laps, Juri Vips ran into a problem.This helped Piastri shoot up into second place. Guanyu Zhou was attempting to hold on to first position with worn out tires but Christan Lungaard was gaining quickly.
Oscar Piastri has stated “That has to be the craziest win I’ve had in my life” and added “we were struggling in the first half on hards, and to be honest I wasn’t driving good enough.”
