Red Bull may have strengthened its ties with Honda prior to the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka this weekend. However, Honda, as well as gaming developer PONOS, won’t be the only Japanese brand to be featured on Red Bull’s cars, as the Austrian team has announced a one-race partnership with the Tokyo-based company BINGO. The BINGO logos will be featured on the front side of the RB18 during the Japanese Grand Prix weelemd/
“We appreciate that Suzuka is home to some of our most avid fans and to have this unique collaboration with BINGO will be another memorable addition to the race, as Formula One returns to Japan,” Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner said in a press release. “The premium nature of BINGO’s operation is a natural fit for Oracle Red Bull Racing, and we’re proud to have their name on the car at the much-anticipated race in Suzuka".
“Our company prides itself in dealing with the best brands of cars and presenting our clients with first class bespoke services,” began BINGO CEO Shinji Takei. “The affinity we share with the values of Formula 1 and the Oracle Red Bull Racing team of performance at all levels, BINGO aims to be at the height of our market and are very enthused for this partnership. As motorsport fans, we have watched the continual success of the team and are excited to be with them on their return to Japan,” he concluded.
BINGO is known for arranging auction events (through BH Auction in the past) with major names in the automotive world, such as the Suzuka Circuit and Tokyo Auto Salon, as well as selling Koenigsegg and Rimac in Japan. As a result, they have a lot of experience on luxury cars and big names in motorsport. Among its high-profile partnerships in motorsport is Ukyo Sasahara. BINGO is the title sponsor of the #15 Team Mugen Super Formula car, which Sasahara later won his first-ever race at the Fuji Speedway this July.
