Recently Turkey has had an increase in Covid-19 cases and it would be too much of a risk to travel for drivers and team staff without having to quarantine for 10 days on return which would make things impossible.

Most of the F1 teams are based in the UK and it would cause logistical challenges as the Government needed to provide exemption passes to escape quarantine, which is not being given to professional athletes.

The Turkish Grand Prix, supposedly taking place from 11th to 13th of June, is at risk. This comes after Turkey replaced Canada as it too was cancelled for Covid reasons.

As of now there hasn’t been any rumours of any replacements but we will keep you informed when we get one.
