Sammy Smith jumped from the back of the field and bottom of the playoff standings to the top step as he took victory in Talladega. This win secured his place in the Round of 8 with one race now remaining in the current round.

Despite starting on pole, Jesse Love lost the lead to Austin Hill before the end of the first lap.

Stage 1 was majority green flag racing, with Chandler Smith taking the stage win and bonus point for playoffs.

Austin Hill showed pace again to win Stage 2 ahead of the charging Sammy Smith.
