Joining the outfit after two seasons at Williams, Stroll saw Racing Point’s transition into Aston Martin F1 Team. Having been the outfit’s constant, he has previously partnered Sergio Perez, alongside two world-champions, Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso.

With Alonso recently signing his own contract renewal, the team will remain with the same driver lineup for the third consecutive year.

Mike Crack, Team Principal of Aston Martin F1 Team, has made it clear that he believes this is the right way forward, saying:

“The consistency and stability of both Lance and Fernando remaining with our team is a great platform to continue to realise our ambitions. We look forward to creating some incredible memories and achieving further success together.”

Praising the Canadian, Krack expressed how pivotal Stroll’s role is within the team.

“He has played a key role in building this team and his technical feedback, alongside his committed simulator work, has helped contribute to the continuous development of the car each season.”

Currently sitting P5 in the constructor’s championship, the team are still looking to rise up the ranks. Though, Stroll remains positive.

In reaction to the news, he made it clear just how proud he was to remain part of the project, stating: “I’m super happy to have committed to staying with the team for 2025 and beyond.”

“It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come in the last five years; we’ve grown so much as a team and there’s still so much more to look forward to.”
